This document provides a comprehensive guide for the JLab Open Sport earbuds, covering their functions, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The JLab Open Sport earbuds are designed for audio playback and communication, featuring Bluetooth connectivity for wireless use. They offer two distinct sound modes: JLab Signature, which provides amplified bass and vocals, and Balanced, for an even sound without additional enhancements. The earbuds are equipped with touch controls for managing audio playback, calls, and activating voice assistants. They also support multipoint connection, allowing simultaneous pairing with two devices. The charging case not only protects the earbuds but also charges them, with LED indicators to show charging status for both the earbuds and the case itself.

Usage Features

Pairing and Connectivity:

To begin, remove the earbuds from the case, take off any stickers, and place them back in the case. Blue lights on the case indicate charging. Remove the earbuds from the case again; one earbud will blink blue/white, signifying it's ready to pair. To connect, open your device's Bluetooth settings and select "JLab Open Sport." For new or additional Bluetooth devices, first turn off Bluetooth on any previously connected device, then turn on Bluetooth on the new device. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode, and you can select "JLab Open Sport" from the new device's settings.

Touch Controls:

The earbuds feature intuitive touch controls on both the left and right earbuds:

• Volume Control: Tap once (1x) on the left earbud to decrease volume, and once (1x) on the right earbud to increase volume.
• Voice Assistant: Tap twice (2x) on the left earbud to activate Siri (iOS) or "OK Google" (Android).
• Track Control: Press and hold for 1+ second on the left earbud to go to the previous track. Press and hold for 1+ second on the right earbud to skip to the next track.
• Call Management: Tap twice (2x) on the right earbud to answer a call, and twice (2x) to hang up. To reject an incoming call, press and hold for 1+ second on the right earbud.
• Play/Pause: Tap twice (2x) on the right earbud to play or pause audio.
• EQ Settings: Tap three times (3x) on either the left or right earbud to cycle through the two EQ settings: JLab Signature and Balanced.

Fitting with Frames:

The JLab Open Sport earbuds are designed to be worn with glasses or other frames. First, slide the ear hooks sideways to remove them. Next, remove the clips from the bottom of the charging case and slide them onto each Open Sport earbud. When wearing, slip the earbuds over your frames and adjust the clip tension by pinching them in while on the frames. For optimal performance, move the Open Sport closest to your ear.

Fitting with Hooks:

If you prefer to use the ear hooks, you can bend and form them to your desired preference. Place the hook behind your ear and move it back toward your ear, then rotate and adjust for the best fit.

Charging:

• Earbuds: Placing the earbuds in the charging case will automatically power them off and begin charging. Blue lights on the earbuds indicate charging and will turn off when fully charged. Removing the earbuds from the case will auto-power them on and connect to the last device.
• Case: Connect the included USB-C cable to charge the case. LEDs on the case will pulse white while charging and turn solid white when fully charged.

Multipoint Connection:

To connect to two devices simultaneously:

1. Once your FIRST device is connected, turn off Bluetooth in its device settings. The JLab Open Sport will automatically enter Bluetooth Pairing mode.
2. On your SECOND device, go to its Bluetooth settings and connect to "JLab Open Sport."
3. Finally, return to your FIRST device's Bluetooth settings, turn on Bluetooth, and connect to "JLab Open Sport."

Troubleshooting (Manual Reset):

If you experience no audio in one earbud or if the earbuds become disconnected:

1. Place both earbuds in the charging case and "forget" "JLab Open Sport" from your device's Bluetooth settings.
2. Quickly tap one earbud seven times (7x) while it's in the charging case.
3. Quickly tap the other earbud seven times (7x) while it's in the charging case.
4. Take both earbuds out of the charging case. One earbud will blink blue/white, indicating it's ready to pair with your device.

Maintenance Features

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your JLab Open Sport earbuds, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Environmental Care: Avoid exposing the earbuds to extreme heat, cold, or humidity.
• Physical Handling: Do not drop or crush the earbuds.
• Cleaning: Wax buildup in the earbud tips can lower sound quality. Carefully remove any wax with a cotton swab or another small tool designed for cleaning earbuds.
• Comfort and Health: If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or discontinuing use temporarily. If you experience regular discomfort, discontinue use and consult your physician.
• Storage: Treat your earbuds like a nice pair of sunglasses; keep them in a safe location when not in use.
