What to do if the JLG LiftPod FT70 Lifting Systems platform doesn't lift from the bottom but the motor starts?
    • D
      Danielle CurtisAug 12, 2025
If the JLG Lifting Systems platform doesn't lift up from the bottom, and the motor starts, it might be due to the driveshaft interlock being engaged. To solve this, firmly push the cordless drill on the driveshaft down to disengage the safety interlock. If you are using a powerpack, ensure it is correctly fitted to the platform, the latch is down, and the drive shaft is connected. Also, check that the emergency stop button is disengaged by turning it clockwise until it pops up.

What to do if the JLG Lifting Systems platform won't move when elevated, but the motor starts?

      Shelby PerezAug 16, 2025
If the JLG Lifting Systems platform will not move when elevated but the motor starts, the powerpack shaft may not be engaged. Ensure the powerpack is charged, correctly fitted, fully down, and latched. If the issue persists, it could be a drive shaft malfunction, in which case you should lower the platform using the manual descent procedure and refer to an Authorized JLG Service Center.

Why won't the powerpack motor start on my JLG LiftPod FT70?
    • T
      Tonya AustinAug 20, 2025
If the optional powerpack motor on your JLG Lifting Systems does not start, first check if the emergency stop button is engaged (pushed in). If it is, disengage it by turning it clockwise until it pops up. Also, ensure that you are activating the direction selector or enable button correctly by pressing and holding the enable button, then pressing and holding the 'UP' button continuously until you reach the desired height. Furthermore, make sure a charged battery is properly installed in the powerpack. Finally, the motor may have overheated; wait until it cools down, as the temperature cutout resets automatically. Alternatively, use the manual descent procedure to lower the platform.

      Mr. David StoneAug 25, 2025
If your JLG Lifting Systems platform won't lift the full rated load, the battery might not be fully charged. Try charging or replacing the battery. If the problem persists, the drive clutch may be slipping, and you should contact an Authorized JLG Service Center.

Why will the base of my JLG LiftPod FT70 not level?
    • V
      Victoria Beasley MDAug 27, 2025
If the base of your JLG Lifting Systems will not level, which is critical before elevating, especially on the FT70 model, it might be due to the castor being deployed. With no load on the platform and ensuring people are clear of the adjustable feet, apply approximately 55 ft. lb. (25Kg) of pressure to the front of the base to retract the castor. Afterward, you should be able to use the adjustable feet to level the machine on slopes less than 2 degrees front to back. Remember, never use the machine on any side slope.

How to fix a JLG LiftPod FT70 machine that does not wheel properly?
    • D
      Dr. Margaret MorrisonAug 31, 2025
If your JLG Lifting Systems machine does not wheel properly, it could be due to the retractable swivel castor not being properly deployed. Ensure there is no load on the platform or base, then lift the castor deploy handle on the front of the base, next to the platform gate. The castor should deploy, lifting the front of the machine off the adjustable feet, allowing it to roll easily. Alternatively, the castor might be damaged and needs replacement.

Why does my JLG LiftPod FT70 Lifting Systems machine rock slightly side to side?
    • J
      Jordan ShawSep 3, 2025
If your JLG Lifting Systems machine rocks slightly side to side, it's likely because the support surface isn't level. Ensure you're only using the machine on firm and level surfaces. Also, check that the adjustable feet or castors are both in contact with the supporting surface, adjusting the feet as needed to ensure firm contact and a level machine.

    • D
      Dawn RobertsSep 7, 2025
If the JLG Lifting Systems machine does not assemble properly, check that each component and assembly alignment is correct. Additionally, ensure the platform is fully engaged by checking the alignment and sliding parts until the platform latch is properly engaged.
