Function Description

The lamp is designed to provide illumination in a room. It features a polarized plug as a safety feature, where one blade is wider than the other, ensuring it fits into a polarized outlet only one way to reduce the risk of electric shock. The lamp is intended for use with specific bulb types: a maximum 100-watt ON/OFF Type "A" bulb, a maximum 23-watt CFL bulb, or a maximum 12-watt LED bulb. A 9-watt LED bulb is included in the box. The assembly process is straightforward, involving connecting the lamp body components, attaching the harp and shade, and inserting the bulb.

Usage Features

1. Connect the Neck to the Base: Pull the power cord to connect the Neck (C) to the Base (A).
2. Assemble the Lamp Body: Screw the lamp body (C) onto the Lamp base (B), and then screw the Lamp body (B) onto the Lamp base (A). Care should be taken not to twist the power cord, and all connections should be tightened securely.
3. Install the Harp and Shade: Insert the Harp (F) into the Saddle (D). Place the Shade (G) onto the Harp (F).
4. Secure the Finial: Tighten the Finial (H) onto the Harp (F) to secure the shade.
5. Insert the Bulb: Insert the provided bulb (I) into the socket (D).
6. Final Check: After assembly, place the lamp on a level surface to ensure everything is stable before use.

The lamp's polarized plug is a critical safety feature. If the plug does not fit fully into an outlet, the user should reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, a qualified electrician should be contacted. The lamp should never be used with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted into the extension cord's outlet.
