Pressure testing
In order to carry out pressure testing on the crankcase and
cylinder, the following components should be removed:
• Carburettor.
• Mufer.
Carry out pressure testing as follows:
1. Fit cover plates 578 09 56-01 and 502 71 39-01 to
the inlet manifold and exhaust port. See gs. 12 and
13.
2. Connect tool 531 03 06-23 (C) to the
impulse channel (B) on the inlet manifold.
See g. 13. The decompression valve should be closed.
3. Pump up the pressure to 80 kPa (0.8 bar).
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. The pressure should not be less than 60 kPa (0.6 bar).
6. Leakage can occur from the decompression valve
and from the crankshaft seals.
7. Ret the following components:
• Carburettor.
• Mufer.
