• Activate the parking brake.
• Lower the cutting unit.
• Remove the front cover.
Removing the Cutting Unit
Mulching Machines
Loosen the spring on the drive belt’s idler.
Move the cutting height lever to the lower position.
WARNING!
Wear protective glasses when
dismantling the cutting unit. The
springs that tension the belt can
break and cause personal injury.
Fit the two support wheels on each side of the
cutting unit’s rear section.
Put your foot on the front edge of the cutting unit
next to the wheel and lift the cutting unit’s front
edge to make it easier to loosen the height adjust-
ment strut. Secure the strut in the holder.
Loosen the two support wheels, located under the
front cover.
