Set
the
right
hand
looper
gauge
so
that
the
point

the
right
hand
looper
passes

to
the
left
of
the
center
of
the
needle
when
the
looper
is
at
its
extreme
left
position
(Figure
5).
The
looper
gauge
of
the
right
hand
looper
is
controlled
by
moving
the
looper
drive
lever
(:;;
81238)
on
the
cross
shaft.
To
increase
the
looper
gauge,
move
the
lever
clockwise
and
to
decrease
the
looper
gauge,
move
the
lever
the
opposite.
When
tightening
the
screws
on
the
looper
drive
lever,
make
sure
that
there
is
no
end
play
in
the
cross
shaft.
This
may
be
done
by
pushing
forward
on
the
cross
shaft
and
at
the
same
time
setting
the
looper
drive
lever
tight
up
against
the
casting.
Re-check
the
setting
of
the
looper
with
respect
to
the
needle
each
time
the
loop
er
drive
leve
r is
shifted.

hand

upward
brings

closer

the

loopers
themselves
can
be
turned
slightly
by
loosening
the
holding
screws
and
holding

the
desired
position
while
retightening
the
screws.
