Put
the
feed
dog,
cloth
plates
with
throat
plate
back
on
the
machine
and
set
the
front
needle
guard
close
to
the
needle
without
deflecting
it.
This
guard
is
readily
adjusted
by
loosening
the
screw

in
top
of
the
throat
plate
in
front
of
the
needle
slot
and
moving
the
guard
into
position
and
retightening
the
screw.
Place
the
presser
feet
on
the
machine
and
check
the
vertical
movement
of
the
presser
bars
with
the
pressure
released
as
much
as
convenient.
The
bars
must
move
freely.
THIS FACTOR IS VITAL.

height
of
the
feed
dog
is
correct
when
at
its
hightest
point
of
travel

the

screw

maintain
