Two-step presser foot
lifter
To raise or drop the
feed dogs
The presser foot lifter raises
and lowers your presser foot.
When sewing several layers or
thick fabrics, the presser foot
can be raised a second stage
for easy positioning of the work.
With the sewing table off the
machine, the feed dog
adjustment lever can be seen
on the base in back of the
sewing machine.
Sliding the lever to the " "
(b) will lower the feed dog, for
example during button sewing.
If you wish to continue sewing
normally, slide the lever to the
" " (a) in order to raise the
feed dogs.
The feed dog will not rise up if
you do not turn the handwheel,
even if the lever is slid to the
right. Make a complete turn to
raise the feed dogs.
