WARNING
If the carburettor head is loose, the throttle valve will be completely open and cannot be controlled by the
throttle control, which can cause an accident resulting in serious or fatal injury. The carburettor head has
been properly tightened at the factor before delivery but must be checked before using the vehicle.
Adjusting the carburettor
1. Warm the engine for 3 to 5 minutes.
2. Turn off the engine.
3. Close the mixture screw completely by turning it clockwise.
4. Open the mixture screw two full turns.
5. Adjust the idling screw until the engine is running smoothly on idle. This means that the engine is
running at low speed (1500 – 1600 rpm) without stopping when you quickly increase the throttle.
6. Adjust the mixture screw slightly clockwise or anti-clockwise until you find the maximum engine
speed.
7. Re-adjust the idling screw until the engine is running smoothly on idle.
8. Repeat steps 6 and 7.
