The harder the water, the more frequently you need to descale the
E4 or change the filter� It is therefore important to set the water
hardness accurately�
The water hardness was set when the machine was first used� You
can change this setting at any time�
The number of symbols that are brightly lit up indicates the set
water hardness level:
