Why is my JVC DLA-N5 making noise?

  The noise from your JVC Projector may be due to several reasons. Check if the exhaust vent is blocked or if the unit is near a heater or air conditioner; high surrounding temperatures increase the fan speed. If viewing 3D video, the “Lamp Power” is automatically set to “High,” increasing fan noise; you can set it to “Low” if it bothers you. Also, setting “Lamp Power” to “High” manually increases fan speed. The sound could also be from the e-shift operation if the “8K e-shift” setting for “MPC” is switched; this is normal.

  If the video image does not appear on your JVC Projector, ensure that the correct external input is selected. Check that the AV device or PC is turned on and properly connected, and that it is outputting the correct signals. Verify that you are using an HDMI-certified high-speed cable. If you are using an intermediate device, change the sequence of turning on the source device, intermediate device, and the projector, ensuring that the signal output is stable before turning on the next device. If using an old source device, change the resolution setting or try connecting to the HDMI 2 terminal and set “HDMI 2 EDID” to “B.”

If you are using an intermediate device, connect the source device directly to the projector. Ensure you're using an HDMI-certified high-speed cable. If using PK-AG2 or PK-AG3 3D Glasses, turn them on manually. Check if the 3D Glasses are charged. Make sure the 3D Glasses and 3D Synchro Emitter are at an appropriate distance and that you're using the correct combination of glasses and emitter.

  If your JVC Projector isn't getting power, first, make sure the power cord is firmly plugged in. Check that the lamp cover is properly shut. If the unit is in Cool-down mode, wait for it to exit, then try turning it on again. Also, if the unit is in Eco mode, press the A button on the projector or remote, and then press the C [ON] button after the “STANDBY/ON” indicator lights up red.

  If your JVC Projector is automatically shutting down, it might be due to the ECO Mode or Off Timer being enabled; set both to “Off.” Another cause could be blocked air inlets and exhaust vents, so ensure proper clearance around the unit. Also, a dirty sponge filter can cause this issue; clean it with a vacuum cleaner.
