 Writing HEX file by using Flash Magic
(1) Connect the PC to the projector with RS-232C cable.
(2) Connect power cable of projctor with holding [Input] Key.
(3) Start up Flash Magic.
(4) Set up Flash Magic as shown below and click [Start] button.
(5) "Finished" is displayed on the status bar under the win-
dow after update is complete.
(6) Unplug the power cable from the projector, and wait until
the orange LED on the LED connector side goes off.
(7) When the power cable is connected again, three LEDs
on the front lights up. *If the boot program has been al-
ready updated, the projector enters into the STANDBY
mode.
5.5.3 DD CPU update procedure
(1) Unplug the power cable from the projector. (Make sure it
can be plugged back in immediately.)
(2) Start up ILAFPJ2011_UP_GRADER.
(3) Select Setting (S), and select the COM port to which the
RS-232C cable is connected.
(4) Select the updater file.
(5) Connect the power cable to the projector.
(6) Check to ensure that the [STANDBY/ON] LED at the top of
the front panel lights up in red.
(7) Connect the projector to the PC with the RS-232C cable.
(8) Press the [Write] button to start update.
(9) Once update starts, the [LAMP] LED will light up in orange,
and the [WARNING] LED in red. The [STANDBY/ON] LED
light will go off.
(10) After update is complete, the following window will pop up.
Click the [OK] button.
(11) Unplug the power cable from the projector. Check that the
LED light at the top of the front panel has turned off, fol-
lowed by plugging in the power cable again. Press the
[STANDBY/ON] button to start up the projector.
(12) Check the version in the service menu.
