GETTING STARTED

This camera’s 2-way power supply system lets you
choose the most appropriate source of power. Do not use
provided power supply units with other equipment.
Charging the Battery Pack
1 Set the power switch to OFF while pressing down the
lock button located on the switch.
2 Slide and hold OPEN in the direction of the arrow A,
then open the battery/CF card cover.
3 Insert the battery pack firmly into the battery pack
mount until it locks into space as shown in the illustration.
4 Close the battery/CF card cover firmly until it locks.
5 Connect the AC adapter to the camera, then connect
the power cord to the AC adapter.
6 Plug the power cord into an AC outlet. The power/
charge lamp on the camera blinks to indicate charging
has started.
7 When the power/charge lamp goes out, charging is
finished. Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet.
Disconnect the AC adapter from the camera.
To detach the battery pack
Open the battery/CF card cover, and remove the battery
pack while sliding BATTERY in the direction of the arrow
B.
