Standby
mode
lock
With
the
convenient
recording
standby
mode
lock,
even
when
the
power
is
switched
off
between
sepa-
rately
recorded
sequences,
the
new
sequence
is
syn-
chronized
with
the
Previously
recorded
sequence
so
that
virtually
no
distracting
picture
distortion
results
when
recording
resumes.
Audio
dubbing
The
audio
dubbing
facility
makes
recording
a
new
soundtrack
possible
narration
from
a
microphone,
for
example
onto
an
already
recorded
programme.
Two-way
shuttle
search
So
that
any
recorded
sequence
can
be
located
quickly,
the
tape
can
be
fast
forwarded
or
rewound
at
three
times
normal
speed
with
the
Picture
visible
on
a
TV
screen
or
in
the
camera’s
electronic
viewfinder.
Full-function
remote
control
The
full-function
remote
control
gives
control
over
all
tape
functions
including
shuttle
search
and
audio
dubbing
as
well
as
power
on/off
from
a
distance.
Switchable
LCD
counter
This
low
Power-consuming
tape
counter
has
a
memory
function
for
quick
location
of
a
predeter-
mined
point
on
the
tape
(the
counter
reading
of
around
“0000")
and
can
be
switched
to
show
the
remaining
time
left
for
recording.
Flexible
power
supply
An
ingenious
power
supply
system
is
employed;
the
Power
supply
units
slide
onto
the
rear
panel
of
the
HA-CF3
and
click
into
position.
The
standard
battery
Pack
has
a
capacity
of
0.7
AH,
enough
to
power
the
HR-C3
and
a
video
camera
for
30
minutes.
An
ex-
clusive
battery
charger
is
provided
to
charge
this
battery
pack
(in.
approx.
60
min.)
and
the
optional
50-minute
1.2
AH
high-capacity
battery
pack
(
in
ap-
Prox.
90
min.).
Two
other
Power
supply
units
are
available;
the
AC
power
pack
and
the
car
battery
adapter.
PRECAUTIONS
Handling
and
storage

Prevent
inflammables,
water
and
metallic
objects
from
entering
the
unit.
@
Do
not
disassemble
or
modify
the
unit,
as
this
will
cause
danger
and
malfunctioning.
@
Do
not
use
the
unit
when
there
is
lightning
in
the
vicinity
and
exercise
special
care
not
to
allow
the
unit
to
become
wet
when
shooting
outdoors
on
rainy
days.

Do
not
place
heavy
objects
on
the
unit.

Do
not
subject
the
unit
to
vibrations
or
shocks.
®
Do
not
subject
the
unit
to
direct
sunlight
or
place
it
near
a
heater
for
a
long
period
of
time,
other-
wise
the
cabinet
may
become
deformed
or
the
internal
electronic
components
such
as
transistors
may
be
damaged.
Pay
special
attention
to
rising
temperature
in
closed
cars
on
hot
summer
days;
the
temperature
in
closed
cars
sometimes
reaches
as
high
as
80°C.

using
the
unit
under
the
following
condi-
tions:
Extremely
hot
or
cold
places
Near
appliances
generating
strong
magnetic
fields

Moving
from
a
cold
to
a
warm
place
Places
subject
to
excessive
humidity,
dust
or
vibrations,
