Multiple-speed
electronic
shutter
The
GR-65E
is
equipped
with
a
selectable
high-speed
shutter
that
allows
better
recording
of
quick
move-
ments
for
sharp,
clear
stills
or
slow-motion
playback.
Select
it
when
taping
fast-action
shots
that
you
will
want
to
play
back
later
in
the
Still
or
Siow-motion
mode.-
1.
Select
the
shutter
speed
among
1/1000,
1/500,
1/250
and
Standard
(1/50)-second
by
pressing
SHUTTER
button.
This
can
be
done
while
record-
ing
or
in
any
other
mode.

selected
speed

switched
to
another
speed.
When
selected,
the
High-Speed
Shutter
mode
is
indicated
on
the
viewfinder
screen
and
LCD.

When
finished
recording
the
fast-action
scene,
switch
back
to
the
standard
shutter
speed
by
press-
ing
the
SHUTTER
button
until
STD
appears
on
the
LCD.
Notes:
@The
High-Speed
Shutter
mode
requires
stightly
more
subject
iflumination
than
the
Standard
Shutter
mode.
Therefore,
the
low-light
warning
may
blink
in
the
viewfinder.
If
so,
switch
to
the
Standard
Shutter
mode.
®
Picture
colour
may
be
adversely
affected
in
the
High-
Speed
Shutter
mode
when
the
subject
is
lit
by
alter-
nating
discharge-type
light
sources
such
as
fluores-
cent
or
mercury-vapour
lights.
@When
playing
back
a
section
recorded
in
the
High-
Speed
Shutter
mode,
movement
of
subjects
in
the
picture
may
not
be
smooth.
This
is
not
due
to
any
defect
of
the
unit.
@Pressing
the
FULL
AUTO
button
also
restores
the
shutter
speed
to
the
standard
level.

recording
indicator
blinks
on
the
viewfinder
screen
and
the
LCD
a
few
minutes
before
the
end
of
the
tape.
@When
the
end
of
the
tape
is
reached
during
record-
ing,
the
Stop
mode
engages
automatically.
Battery
warning

@When
the
battery
power
is
coming
to
an
end,
a
battery
warning
indication
appears
in
both
the
view-
finder
and
the
LCD.
Replace
the
battery
pack
with
a
fully
charged
one.

power
turns
off
automatically.

this
state,
however,
pressing
the
POWER
switch
while
holding
EJECT
button
pressed
turns
the
power
on
and
ejects
the
cassette.

switches

the
Stop
mode.

mode.
@To
protect
the
tape,
the
GR-65£
(regardless
of
whether
battery-operated
or
AC-powered)
releases
tape
tension
slightly
and
switches
itself
off
auto-
matically
if
left
for
tonger
than
5
minutes
in
the
Recording
Standby
(Record-Pause)
mode.
®@For
the
same
reason,
the
GR-65E
enters
the
Stop
mode
if
left
for
longer
than
5
minutes
in
the
Still
(Play-Pause)
mode.
