Operations
The
following
operations
are
commonly
used
when
you
play
any
sound
source.

Adjusting
the
Volume
To
increase
the
volume,
turn
the
VOLUME
control
clockwise.
To
decrease
the
volume,
turn
it
counterclockwise.
CAUTION:
Always
set
the
VOLUME
control
to
MIN
before
starting
any
source
such
as
the
radio,
tape,
or
CD
player.
Ifthe
VOLUME
control
is
left
turned
up,
the
sudden
blast
of
sound
energy
can
permanently
damage
your
hearing
and/
or
ruin
your
speakers.
Adjusting
the
Bass
Sound
You
can
reduce
or
increase
the
amount
of
bass
reinforcement
by
adjusting
the
TWIN
BASS
control.
When
set
to
the
NORMAL
position,
no
bass
reinforcement
is
applied.
Adjusting
the
Speaker
Output
Balance
If
the
sounds
you
hear
from
the
right
and
left
speakers
are
unequal,
you
can
adjust
the
speaker
output
balance
with
the
BALANCE
control.
High-fidelity
Playback
When
you
press
the
SOURCE
DIRECT
button,
the
LED
on
the
button
comes
on
and
“DIRECT
ON”
appears
on
the
graphic
equalizer
display.
By
bypassing
the
sound
effect
circuits
like
SEA
programs,
the
path
of
the
audio
signal
will
be
shortened,
giving
a
higher
fidelity
sound.
Dimmer
Function
(Tuner/Amplifier)
With
this
function
you
can
control
the
display
brightness
while
the
Unit
is
turned
off.

the

the
display
dimmer
while
the
Unit
is
off.

the
display
brighter
while
the
Unit

Listening
with
Headphones
A
standard
pair
of
headphones
can
be
connected
at
the
PHONES
jack
on
the
front
panel.
Be
sure
to
turn
down
the
volume
before
connecting
or
putting
on
headphones,
as
high
volume
can
damage
both
the
headphones
and
your
hearing.
When
you
connect
the
headphones,
no
sound
comes
out
from
the
speakers.
