Wait until the appliance switches itself
o automatically. Lift the handle to eject
inserted pod and reclose it.

Empty the water tank, replace it in
the appliance empty and put a cup which
is suitable for very hot water under the
spout.

Next press the espresso button and the
brewed button simultaneously, and keep
the buttons pressed for at least 3 seconds,
then release. The appliance will now steam
all the residual water out and switch itself
o automatically after steaming.

Now carefully empty the cup with the
hot water.
WARNING: Very hot water –
scalding hazard.
CAUTION:
If you leave the appliance
unused for long periods,
germs - possibly formed in the residu-
al water - can cause health hazards. If
the appliance is subjected to freezing
temperatures, frozen residual water can
damage single functionalities as well as
the appliance in total. To prevent both
cases you should empty the appliance
by steaming out the residual water.
WARNING
When steaming out, hot
steam (up to 250 °F / 120 °C)
and hot water are produced - scalding
hazard.
Never reach under the spout, and remain
a safe distance away from the spout. The
heat-safe cup under the spout contains
extremely hot water - please handle
with care.
