Requirements for activation of the default IP address
Device is in DHCP mode
Network cable is plugged into the device and a network link [}4.2.2] is pro-
duced
Boot process
If the DHCP server is not accessible during the boot process, the device will assign it-
self the default IP address.
Normal operation
If the DHCP server is no longer accessible in normal operation, the device can assign
itself the default IP address. This depends on the configuration of the DHCP server,
e.g. the lease duration.
Deactivating the default IP address
Switch off the device and switch it on again as soon as the DHCP server is access-
ible again. The IP address assigned by the DHCP server will be restored.
Assign the device a fixed IP address [}6.2.9]
6.2.10 Wireless network
Function call: Settings > Wireless network
Channel
Option of changing the ZigBee channel over which the wireless gateway communic-
ates with the connected wireless devices.
Changing the channel
1. Under Channel, select a ZigBee channel.
2. Select Save.
ð The device communicates over the newly selected channel. Connected wireless
devices automatically transfer over to the new channel within approx. six
minutes.
Installation code
The service interface masks the active installation code, as the code is used to en-
crypt the radio communication. The installation code is generated by the host system
and transmitted to the wireless gateway.
The installation code can be manually entered in the field New installation code.
