6.2.11 Certificate
Function call: Settings > Certificate
HTTPS is activated as standard to ensure secure communication via the Ethernet in-
terface of the wireless gateway. Both direct communication with the service interface
of the wireless gateway and communication by the host system with the wireless
gateway are encrypted.
The SSL certificate integrated in its factory state can be replaced:
with a certificate from a certifying body
with a self-signed certificate.
Possible import formats:
Format Coding File name extension
X509 PKCS12 .p12
.pfx
JKS .jks
Uploading a certificate
ü The certificate is <10KB.
ü The certificate file contains no more than one private key.
ü The certificate can be password-protected.
ü If the private key is password-protected, then the certificate file must be protec-
ted with the same password.
1. Select Browse and navigate to the certificate.
2. If the certificate is password-protected, enter the password.
3. Select Upload.
ð The certificate is uploaded to the wireless gateway.
4. Select Activate certificate.
5. Select Activate again in the next dialogue window.
ð The wireless gateway's web server will restart.
6. Call up the service interface (IP address) again in the browser.
ð The uploaded certificate secures the communication with the wireless gateway
(service interface and interface to the host system).
Once a different certificate has been activated, the standard certificate can only be
reset by restoring the factory settings [}7.1].
6.2.12 Import
Function call: Settings > Import
Import of firmware for update of connected wireless components.
The wireless gateway saves a firmware version for each type of wireless component,
such as the c-lever and digital cylinder.
Update the firmware of wireless components
If the firmware was imported to the wireless gateway, carry out an update for each
wireless component [}6.2.6.1] under Menu > Wireless components > Details.
