Why does the output pressure of my Kärcher Pressure Washer vary?
    • R
      Rachel ShieldsAug 1, 2025
If the output pressure of your Kärcher Pressure Washer varies from high to low, consider these possibilities: * Insufficient water supply could be the issue. Turn the water on full force and check the garden hose for kinks, leaks, or blockages. * The pump might be sucking air. Ensure that hoses and fittings are airtight. Turn off the machine and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle. * The water inlet filter could be clogged. Remove the filter and rinse it in warm water. * The discharge nozzle might be obstructed. Clear any debris with a fine needle. * The gun, hose, or spray wand might be calcified. Run distilled vinegar through the detergent suction tube.

Why won't my Kärcher K 280 M Pressure Washer motor start?
    • C
      Christopher McdanielAug 11, 2025
If the motor of your Kärcher Pressure Washer won't start, there are several potential causes: * The On/Off switch might be in the “OFF” position. If so, turn the switch to the “ON” position. * The power cord might not be plugged in; ensure it is properly plugged in. * The extension cord could be too long, not the proper gauge, or damaged. Replace it with a 25 ft. 12/2 gauge cord or a 50 ft. 10/2 gauge cord. * The electrical outlet may not supply enough power. Try a different outlet. * The GFCI or circuit breaker might have tripped. Reset the breaker or ground fault circuit interrupter.

What to do if my Kärcher K 280 M Pressure Washer does not reach high pressure?
    • B
      Beth TorresAug 22, 2025
If your Kärcher Pressure Washer isn't reaching high pressure, consider the following: * The diameter of your garden hose may be too small; replace it with a 3/4 inch garden hose. * The water supply may be restricted. Check the garden hose for kinks, leaks, and blockages. * There might not be enough inlet water supply. Open the water source fully. * The water inlet filter could be clogged. Remove the filter and rinse it out in warm water. * The wash brush might be attached. Attach the vario spray wand instead.
