CAUTION
Holders should be disinfected in a statim or autoclave using plastic
or rubber modes according to your manufacturer’s instructions.
If the infection control guidelines for your country permit, the holders can
be disinfected using the cleaning agents below, following the manufactur-
er’s instructions.

Please note: DEXIS Classic holders, distinguishable by their white color,
are m
ore sensitive to overheating. Disinfect those holders in an autoclave
at a temperature no greater than 257
o
F (125
o
C) or by soaking in a cold sterile
solution. It is important to always consult the m
anufacturer’s recommenda-
tions for the solution you are using. Run the appropriate autoclave cycle
according to ANSI/AAMI ST79 & A1 & A2 & A3.
2.9 Image Quality Assurance
Image quality of the DEXIS Titanium sensor depends on several factors:
the quality of the X-ray source (kV, focal spot size, distance)
the alignment of the X-ray source to the anatomic region
the applied X-ray dose / exposure time
the patient remaining still during exposure period
the settings of the computer monitor
It is recommended that you establish a procedure for periodic review of the
image quality. If image quality is not satisfactory, or degrading, please
check the contributing system parts as outlined below:
