Tightening the
springs
If the canopy does no longer remain fi rmly in the upper position,
the two springs have to be re-tightened. For that purpose you
will need a spanner type SW19.

Step Procedure Reference
1 In the centre of the lower front cover there is a square
bolt. Place the enclosed key onto this square element.
2 Unlock the bed by turning the key anti-clockwise. By
doing so, the bed will slightly go up.
3 Open the bed completely.
4 Check the ropes for wear. If individual wires of the
rope are spliced, always replace both ropes.

5 Lubricate the ropes in the area of the turn-around
rolls in the base frame and of the eccentric discs in
the canopy, using rope grease type HHS 2000* (KBL
1200024100).
