Сonnect a mobile device to your Keenetic router
via Wi-Fi. The default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and Wi-Fi
password are printed on your Keenetic device’s
back label along with a QR code that will
automatically connect your mobile device
to the Keenetic device’s Wi-Fi when scanned.
Alternatively, сonnect a computer to any gray
Ethernet port on your Keenetic device using
the included Ethernet cable.
Once connected, an Initial Setup Wizard window
will appear on your mobile device / computer.
If the Wizard does not appear, in your browser
go to my.keenetic.net.
Note: If the Initial Setup Wizard still doesn’t
appear, please refer to the Frequently Asked
Questions section.
In the Initial Setup Wizard window that appeared,
select the configuration option.
To create a new network and connect it to the
Internet, choose the appropriate connection type
and follow the setup instructions.
To extend an existing network and add this
Keenetic device as a Wi-Fi extender, choose the
‘To switch to Wi-Fi Extender Mode’ option and
follow the setup instructions.

Connect your Keenetic
Peak (hereinafter ‘Keenetic
device’, 'Keenetic router')
to a power source. Check
that both the Status LED
C and Wi-Fi LED D are
illuminated and not
blinking.
Position the Wi-Fi

Overview

The Keenetic Carrier DSL (Model: KN-2111) is an AC1200 Dual Band Mesh Wi-Fi VDSL2/ADSL2+ Modem Router, featuring a 4-Port Smart Switch and a USB Port. This device is designed to provide robust internet connectivity and extend network coverage, functioning as either a primary router or a Wi-Fi extender.

Function Description:

The Keenetic Carrier DSL serves as a central hub for internet access, integrating a VDSL2/ADSL2+ modem for direct connection to DSL lines. It offers dual-band Wi-Fi (AC1200) for high-speed wireless connectivity across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, supporting a wide range of devices. The integrated 4-port Smart Switch allows for wired connections to multiple devices, while the USB port expands functionality by supporting external storage, printers, or 3G/4G modems. The device is also capable of participating in a Keenetic Mesh Wi-Fi System, allowing it to extend an existing network's coverage.

Usage Features:

  • Initial Setup: The device can be set up via an Initial Setup Wizard that appears automatically on a connected mobile device or computer. If the wizard doesn't appear, users can navigate to my.keenetic.net in their browser.
  • Connectivity:
    • Wi-Fi: Connect mobile devices using the default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password found on the back label, or by scanning the QR code.
    • Wired: Connect a computer to any gray Ethernet port using the included Ethernet cable.
    • DSL: The blue port (marked 0) is preconfigured for internet connection via DSL.
  • Operating Modes:
    • New Network: Create a new network and connect to the internet by selecting the appropriate connection type.
    • Wi-Fi Extender Mode: Extend an existing network by adding the Keenetic device as a Wi-Fi extender.
  • Antenna Positioning: Wi-Fi antennas should be positioned vertically for optimal performance.
  • USB Port Functionality: Supports external hard drives, printers, and 3G/4G modems. A list of compatible devices is available on help.keenetic.com.
  • Button Customization: The FN Button and Wi-Fi Control Button can be assigned different functions in the device settings.
  • Web Interface Access: Manage settings and monitor the network via my.keenetic.net or 192.168.1.1 / 192.168.2.1.
  • Mobile Application: Allows for management and password retrieval.
  • Wall Mounting: The device can be safely wall-mounted using two firmly attached screws on a wall strong enough to support four times the device's weight.

Maintenance Features:

  • Power Supply: Designed for continuous operation; does not need to be powered off daily.
  • Resetting to Factory Settings: Press and hold the Reset Button until the Status LED blinks rapidly, then release. This restores original factory settings and resets the administrator password, requiring reconfiguration of the internet connection.
  • Firmware Updates: The Status LED blinks green when the operating system is updating.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • No Wizard/Web Interface: Ensure proper connection (Wi-Fi/Ethernet), correct web address (my.keenetic.net), and automatic IP/DNS settings. Reboot devices if necessary. If issues persist, reset to factory settings.
    • No Internet: Check if the Internet LED is illuminated. If not, consult ISP for service availability and correct connection parameters. If illuminated, check wired/Wi-Fi connections to home devices.
    • Forgotten Wireless Password: Default password is on the back label. Changed passwords can be retrieved via my.keenetic.net or the mobile app.
    • Forgotten Web Interface Password: Reset to factory settings to create a new password.
  • Safety Instructions:
    • For indoor use ONLY.
    • Keep away from water, humidity, excessive heat, and direct sunlight.
    • No user-serviceable parts; DO NOT OPEN.
    • Remove protective stickers, do not block ventilation holes, and do not operate in enclosed spaces.
    • Use ONLY the supplied power adapter; cease use of damaged adapters immediately.
  • Warranty: Non-transferable 3-year warranty from the purchase date (including 2-year European Limited Warranty). Valid claims for defects are honored subject to local legal requirements.
  • Disposal: Dispose of the device, power adapter, and cables in accordance with European directives, not with general household waste. Consult local authorities or suppliers for information.
