The Kemppi Master M 358 is a versatile welding equipment designed for both normal and pulsed MIG/MAG welding, with optional capabilities for TIG and MMA welding. It is designed for use with Kemppi's Flexlite GX MIG welding guns with a euro connector. For TIG welding, a dedicated Flexlite TX TIG torch with a euro connector is required, and for MMA welding, a dedicated DIX-euro adapter is needed.
Function Description:
The Master M 358 features a 4-roll wire feed mechanism, supporting a maximum wire spool diameter of 300 mm. It comes with a 2-knob 5.7" TFT/LCD control panel for easy operation. The device includes work lights with adjustable brightness (full, medium, off) powered by a built-in battery that charges when connected to the mains.
The wire feed mechanism consists of drive rolls, pressure rolls, and guide tubes (inlet, middle, outlet) for precise wire feeding. The control panel offers various views including Home, Weld Assist, Channels, WPS, Welding Parameters, Weld History, Info, WLAN, and Device Settings.

Usage Features:
- Control Panel: The 2-knob 5.7" TFT/LCD control panel provides intuitive access to settings. The left and right control knobs offer adjustment and selection functions. Shortcut buttons are available for memory channel selection, view selection, and welding parameters view.
- Weld Assist: A wizard-like utility simplifies parameter selection by guiding the user through joint type, welding position, and plate thickness. It provides recommended welding processes, wire feed speed, gas flow rate, and travel speed.
- Memory Channels: Up to 100 channels for MIG, 10 for TIG, and 10 for MMA allow saving and recalling welding parameters. Channels can be created, saved, deleted, and linked to digital Welding Procedure Specifications (dWPS).
- Welding Programs: The device comes with preinstalled welding program work packs for 1-MIG and pulsed welding. Additional Wise features (WiseSteel, WiseFusion, WisePenetration+) and MAX processes (MAX Cool, MAX Position, MAX Speed) are optional. Manual MIG does not require additional programs.
- Trigger Logic Functions: Supports 2T, 4T, and Powerlog trigger modes. Powerlog allows switching between two or three power levels during welding, with adjustable wire feed speed, voltage/fine tuning, and dynamics for each level.
- 1-MIG: An automatic MIG/MAG process where voltage is defined automatically based on wire feed speed and welding program. It supports WiseSteel, WisePenetration+, and WiseFusion.
- WiseFusion: Enables adaptive arc length control for an optimally short and focused arc, increasing welding speed and penetration while decreasing heat input. Compatible with 1-MIG, MAX Position, and pulsed MIG.
