Using the built-in wide angle diffuser
When the distance between the camera
and the subject is less than 2m, you can
use the built-in wide angle diffuser plate
for a more natural effect up close. It also
gives better ash coverage over a wider
distance.
To pull out the wide angle diffuser, pull
out the wide diffusion plate as well as the
reection card. Keeping the diffuser plate
pulled up, push the reection card back
inside the ash head.
Using softboxes
It is also possible to connect external softboxes (not included) to
the speedash to diffuse the ash and create softer light with fewer
shadows. Whether you hold the camera horizontal or vertical, the
effect is the same. The effect is best with the ash head tilted to
approximately 60 degrees.
