Why is my Keystone R-KSTHW08A cooling, but the room is too warm?
    • C
      Christopher LesterAug 15, 2025
If your Keystone air conditioner is running but the room isn't cooling down and there's no ice forming, several factors could be at play. Ensure the air filter is clean, as a dirty filter restricts airflow; refer to the Care and Cleaning section for instructions. Try setting the temperature to a lower setting. Make sure the air directional louvers are positioned properly for better air distribution. Check that the front of the unit isn't blocked by drapes, blinds, or furniture. Confirm that doors, windows, and registers are closed to prevent cold air from escaping. If you've recently turned on the unit in a hot room, allow additional time for it to remove stored heat from the walls, ceiling, floor, and furniture.

Why is the air from my Keystone R-KSTHW08A not cold enough?
    • H
      Holly HallAug 18, 2025
If the air from your Keystone air conditioner isn't cold enough, it could be because the room temperature is below 62°F (17°C); cooling may not occur until the room temperature rises above this. Also, check if the temperature sensor behind the air filter is touching the cold coil and keep it away from the coil. Set to a lower temperature and wait for 3 minutes after setting to the COOL mode.

What to do if my Keystone R-KSTHW08A Air Conditioner does not start?
    • J
      Jennifer CortezAug 22, 2025
If your Keystone air conditioner isn't starting, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the wall plug is firmly pushed into the outlet. Check if a house fuse has blown or a circuit breaker has tripped, and replace the fuse with a time delay type or reset the circuit breaker. Also, check the Plug Current Device and press the RESET button. Finally, make sure the power is turned ON.

What to do if my Keystone air conditioner is cooling, but the room is too warm and ice is forming?
    • S
      Sheri GoldenAug 25, 2025
If your Keystone air conditioner is cooling, but the room is too warm, and ice is forming on the cooling coil, the outdoor temperature may be below 64°F (18°C). To defrost the coil, set the unit to FAN ONLY mode. Also, the air filter may be dirty, so clean it; refer to the Care and Cleaning section. To defrost, set to FAN ONLY mode. Then, set the temperature to a higher setting.

Why does my Keystone R-KSTHW08A Air Conditioner turn on and off rapidly?
    • F
      Francisco BurgessAug 28, 2025
