AA. One Arm Drive

Disengaging and Removing the One Arm Drive Strut

The One Arm Drive Strut must be disengaged and removed before folding your chair. Follow the

steps below with no user in the chair to remove the strut. This applies to the Quick Release One

Arm Drive which can be identified by looking at Fig. 30 (shown as an example on a Catalyst

frame).

1. Grab one of the rubber sleeves (Fig. 30:A) at the end of the drive strut and pull back.

2. With the rubber sleeve pulled back, drop the end of the strut down and out of the axle

mount.

3. With one side disengaged, remove the opposite end of the strut and save strut.

4. To reinstall after the chair has been unfolded again, install one end of the drive strut into the

axle mount and install the opposite side by pulling the rubber sleeve back and releasing

once aligned with the axle mount.
