Additional safety instructions for the log splitter
The log splitter must only be operated by a • single per-
son.
Wear • protective equipment (safety goggles/protective
visor, work gloves, safety shoes) to protect yourself
from possible injuries.
Never, cleave logs containing • nails, wire or other ob-
jects.
Cleaved wood and wood chips create a dangerous • work
area. There is a risk of tripping, slipping or falling.
Therefore, always keep your work area tidy.
Never put your hands on the moving parts of the ma-•
chine, when the machine is switched on.
Only cleave logs with a • maximum length of 106 cm.
m Proper use
The machine complies with the current EC Machin-
ery Directive.
The hydraulic splitter is only suitable for stationary •
operation. Logs must only be cleaved vertically in the
direction of the grain. The optimal dimensions for the
logs to be cleaved are:
Log length 58 cm/77 cm/106 cm
ø min. 10 cm, max. 30 cm
Never cleave the wood horizontally or against the •
grain.
The manufacturer‘s safety instructions, the operating •
instructions and the maintenance instructions as well
as the dimensions specified in the technical data must
be observed.
The applicable accident prevention regulations and •
other generally recognized safety standards must be
observed.
The machine may only be used, maintained and re-•
paired by persons, who are familiar with it and who
have been informed about the dangers connected to
it. Unauthorized modifications to the machine will re-
lease the manufacturer from any liability for any re-
sulting damage.
The machine must only be used with original accesso-•
ries and original tools from the manufacturer.
Any other use is deemed improper. The manufacturer •
does not assume any liability for any resulting damage,
the user will be held solely responsible.
m Residual risks
The machine is built according to the current state of tech-
nology and generally recognized safety standards. However,
individual residual risks may occur when working with the
machine.
Risk of injury to fingers and hands from the cleaver, •
in the event of improper guidance or support of the
wood.
Risk of injury from the ejection of the work piece, in •
the event of inappropriate support or guide.
Exposure to electric current, when using inappropriate •
electric connecting cables.
