Holdingvalveposition
KITZpneumaticactuatorsdonotassurenon-leakage.Theactuatordoesnotkeep
thevalveinthepredeterminedopenpositionforalongtimewithoutcontinuousair
supply.Whenconnectingtheactuatortotheairtank,itmaybecomeimpossibleto
holdthevalveopeningpositionduetoleakagefromtheactuator.Pleaseperiodically
performaninspectiontodetectleakagefromthesealwasher,retightenthevalve
andcheckthepressuredropintheairtankwhenaactuatorisconnectedtotheair
tank.Ifyou needtokeep thevalveinthe predeterminedposition foralongtime,
pleasecontactKITZ.
Residualpressureinthecylinderofthespringreturntypeactuator
Outputtorqueofthespringreturntypeactuatorindicatesthevaluewithoutinternal
airresidueremainsinsidethecylinders.Pleasedesignthecircuitsystemtobeable
toexhausttheinternalpressurefromthecylinderduringthespringreturnaction.If
internalpressureremainsinthecylinder,theoutputtorquewillbedroppedandthe
valvemaynotbeclosed.
The actuator may move to the opening direction if pressure is applied to the
both sides of the cylinder port of the double action type actuator. If manual
operationis needed, thecircuit system shall be designedtoequalize thecylinder
internalpressureandtheatmosphericpressure.
DONOTpressurizethebreathingportofthespringreturntypeactuator.
Preventdust,rainwater orwaste fromenteringintotheactuator throughthe
breathingport.
