4.1TypeBDouble-ActionActuator(SinglePistonTypeCylinder)
Theairpressuresuppliedintotheport〈A〉pushesthepistontotheleftandenergizesitsmovementtorotate
the scotch-yoke counterclockwise. The scotch-yoke converts linear movement of the piston rod to
counterclockwiserotationalmovementoftheshafttoopenorclosethevalve,followingthepresetmode.
Reversesupplyoftheairpressureintotheport〈B〉activatesthereversevalveoperation.Airfailurewillcause
thevalvestayattheposition.











Theairpressuresuppliedintotheport〈A〉and〈A〉 pushesthepistontotheleftandenergizesitsmovement
torotatethescotch-yokecounterclockwise.Thescotch-yokeconvertslinearmovementofthepistonrodto
counterclockwiserotationalmovementoftheshafttoopenorclosethevalve,followingthepresetmode.
