MedVault 2.5 Operation
MedVaults are assigned to a jurisdiction upon shipment. Before use, the device must be configured in
KnoxConnect. The Knox Device Sync app is then used to pass the configurations to each device via USB.
The device is designed to be continuously powered and to have constant or intermittent connection to a network
via WiFi, through a router or hotspot, or via Ethernet.
Both MedVaults
®
units consist of:
Numeric keypad
LED scrolling banner (above the keypad)
USB connection port, Ethernet connection, or WiFi
Lock / unlock knob
Manual over-ride key lock with a cover (Key ships separately)
Tech Lock that protects the device electronics (Key ships separately)
Light Management: Users with Supervisor field capabilities may dim the keypad and display.
Dual PIN Use: Devices can be set to require entry of two valid PINs to release the keys. There are two options:
Dual PIN: Release key upon entry of any two valid PINs
Dual PIN Supervisor: Requires two valid PINs; one of any type and one Supervisor PIN.
