8.3 HOW TO REPLACE THE TURBINE MAIN
MOTOR
This is a service operation which should be performed
by qualified personnel in case of failure of the main
turbine motor.
o DISCONNECT the Cyclone from main power
supply by turning the main switch (U) [Sec. D-
Fig.2] to “0” position and disconnect the
the power cord from main power supply
Follow the steps of paragraph 8.1 and 8.2
o After the last step of paragraph 8.2 remove main
turbine metal shaft (1) by loosening the fixing screw
(2) on the turbine shaft
o Remove the front plastic enclosure (S)
[Sec. E-Fig.2] by unlocking the three security locks
on the panel with the standard key.
o Remove rear door (2) and plastic panel (1) both
located on the right side of the machine
o Remove 4 fixing bolts (1) and remove the
electrical motor from the turbine body
o Open the square shaped aluminium cover
located on the motor and disconnect wires from
the electrical motor
IMPORTANT: BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE
WIRES FROM THE MOTOR TAKE A
WRITTEN NOTE OF THE WIRING CONNECTIONS
(DELTA OR Y) AND OF THE SEQUENCE OF THE
THREE PHASES R-S-T WIRES OF THE MOTOR
o Install new motor by following the same electrical
connection and follow all steps backward to re-
assemble the machine
