8.4 HOW TO REPLACE THE VACUUM SYSTEM
MOTOR (Sec. G)
This is a service operation which needs to be performed
by qualified service personnel in case of failure of the
vacuum system motor.
o DISCONNECT the Cyclone from main power
supply by turning the main switch (U) [Sec. D-
Fig.2] into “0” position and disconnect the power
cord from main power supply.
o Open rear back doors of the Cyclone
o Remove plastic waste bag from its position
o Remove trolley by releasing the two metal
fixing pins
o Remove metal cover by loosing the 4 fixing
screws
It is now it is possible to access the electrical motor.
o Disconnect two wires of the electrical motor
from connector
o Loosen and remove the 4 screws fixing the
motor to the machine
o Remove the vacuum system motor from its
position
o Replace vacuum system motor with the new
motor by using the same fixing plate
o The machine can now be re-assembled by
following the above steps backward.
Vacuum System motor can be improved by keeping the
filter compartment clean and clear of shredded
materials.
9. ACCESSORIES
9.1 SCREENS
The KOBRA Cyclone is delivered with a 30 mm holes
standard screen unless specifically ordered with a
different screen.
It is possible to change the screen on the Cyclone
whenever a different shredding need arises (higher
security/bulk reduction degree or higher shredding
output).
5 different screens are available. Please consult with
your authorized Kobra retailer to determine best screen
options for your applications.
9.2 PLASTIC WASTE BAG
Part number CB-93
KOBRA Cyclone is delivered with 10 plastic waste
bags.
Additional original plastic waste bags packed in sets of
50 bags each can be purchased.
The Cyclone should be operated with approved plastic
waste bags only.
The approved plastic waste bag has been designed,
manufactured and tested to offer the best performances
and to withstand the turbine pressure during intensive
shredding operations as well as to withstand the
centrifugal forces and the friction of the shredded
material.
9.3 FILTER BAG
Part number CF-13
KOBRA Cyclone is delivered with 3 filter bags which
collect the shredding dust.
Additional original filter bags packed in sets of 10 bags
each can be purchased.
The Cyclone should be operated with approved filter
bags only.
The original filter bag has been designed and tested to
offer the best performances and to collect the maximum
quantity of dust with the highest efficiency and air flow.
Filter bag should be replaced every 20/25 plastic waste
bags of shredded material based on dust produced by
the material.
Check filter bag level before replacing filter bag.
