KOBRA CYCLONE ELECTRICAL SET-UP AND TUNING
(
VALID FOR UNITS FROM SERIAL NUMBER : 200/208V -50/60Hz UNITS SERIAL NUMBER 1180/ PRODUCTION 2015)
The KOBRA CYCLONE is tuned and set at the factory at the following default values:
° TIMER RELAY (FINDER): DEFAULT VALUE 30 secs.
Increasing the timer value (31 sec. -32 sec. -33 sec. –etc.) will make the main motor run longer after the machine has
finished shredding (usually there is no need to adjust this setting).
° THERMAL RELAY (ABB): NO ADJUSTEMENTS NEEDED.
° AMPS RELAY (ABB RSH): A (Hysteresis loop) - Default value = 5 ( NO ADJUSTEMENT NEEDED )
B (Operating time) - Default value = 1 ( NO ADJUSTEMENT NEEDED )
C (Current) - Default value = 35% ( at 380/400V 50Hz ) EUROPE
60% ( at 208V 60Hz ) USA
70% ( at 200V 50/60Hz ) JAPAN
The “Current C” knob may require adjustement when installing the CYCLONE (due to power variations at the installation location)
- Increasing the value of the “Current C” knob will make the shut down timer start earlier therefore the machine may shut-off
with paper still in the shredding chamber and cause a jam.
- Decreasing the “Current C” knob value will make the shut down timer start later and the machine might not shut-off
automatically
° To adjust “Current C” knob,follow these steps:
° Position “Current C” knob at 0%; (counter clockwise limit)
° Start the CYCLONE with no load (machine will keep running and will not shut off)
° Slowly increase (turn clock-wise) the value of “Current C” knob until Red light on Timer Relay lights up (start of timer relay) stop turning the knob at this
point.
° Leave “Current C” knob on the value determined by the above steps.
° PNEUMATIC TIMER (ABB): Default value 20 secs.
This timer controls the operation of the air filtration motor. Turning knob A clockwise increases the value
and will make the motor run longer after the main motor has shut-off.
