Taking pictures using the AF lock
For special situations where AF may not work (page 33):
1 Set the AE/AF lock button to AF.
2 Place the framing marks on the main subject.
3 Press the AE/AF lock button.
4 Recompose the picture and press the Shutter button halfway to lock the
exposure position.
5 Press the Shutter button completely down to take the picture.
Using the Manual Focus (MF) assist AF
This feature lets you make additional adjustments to the focus.
1 Press the Menu button.
(Press again to exit.)
2 Move to highlight Setup .
3 Move to highlight MF Assist AF, press OK.
4 Move to highlight On, press OK.
This setting remains until you change it.
5 Press the Shutter button halfway.
6 Rotate the Manual focus ring to adjust the focus.
(Focus is at center position.)
A magnified display appears.
7 Press the Shutter button completely down to take
the picture.
