CRANKING
THERE
are some scenes in
which
the
action is
of
such
duration
thar
more
than

feet
of
film
(the
run
of
the
motor)
will
be required.

Electric
Motor
Drive can be used
or
the
camera
must
be
hand
cranked, as in
Figure
S2.
To
hand
crank
the
Cine-
Kodak
Special,
allow
the
motor
to
run
down and
with
the
crank
on
the
EIGHT-FRAME
SHAFT,
turn
the
crank
in
the
directioil
marked
FORWARD.
For
nor-
mal speed, turn
the
crank
two
turns per second.
Setting
the
SPEED
DIAL
at
16
will
help
you to
maintain
this
speed uni-
formly.
Turn
the
hand
from
the
wrist;
do
not
rotate
entire
forearm as
this
tends
to
make
cranking
uneven.
