1. Removethefueltankcapandlter.SeeFigure22.
2. Cleanthelterwithsolvent,replaceifdamaged.
3. Wipethelterandinsertit.
4. Tighten the tank cap securely.

Fuel Valve
Engines are equipped with a fuel valve and integral
screenlterlocatedattheinletofthecarburetor.It
controlsandltersfuelowfromthetanktothe
carburetor.
Every 100 hours of operation clean fuel valve cup of
anyaccumulateddebris.Ifthescreenbecomesclogged
or damaged replace it.

1. Stoptheengine.
2. TurnthefuelvalvelevertotheOFF position.
3. Removethefuelvalvecup.SeeFigure23.
4. Cleanthefuelvalvecupwithsolventandwipedry.
5. ChecktheO-ring,replaceifdamaged.
6. PlacetheO-ringonthefuelvalvecup.Rotatethe
fuelvalvecupuntilitisngertight.Turnwitha
wrench1/2to3/4fullturn.SeeFigure23.
7. Turn the fuel valve to the ON position and check
forleaks.Iffuelvalvecupleaksrepeatstep5and6.
8. Tighten the tank cap securely.
