12.8 STOPPING MACHINE

Avoid stopping suddenly. Allow ample room when stopping.
When stopping the machine, select flat hard ground and
avoid dangerous places. If it is necessary to park the machine
on a slope, put blocks under the tracks and dig the work
equipment into the ground to prevent the machine from
moving.
If the control levers are touched by accident, the work equip-
ment or machine may move suddenly and cause serious
damage or injury. When leaving the operator’s compartment,
always place the safety lever securely at the LOCK position.
1. Lower the engine speed with fuel control lever 0.
2. Place gear shift lever @ at the neutral position.

3. Depress the center of left and right brake pedals @ to apply the
brake. The machine will stop.
