Purpose
ThisistheFactoryAcceptanceTestfortheSimradST90Fish-ndingsonar.
ThepurposeofthisFactoryAcceptanceTestistoverifythattheST90systemisfully
functional,andmeetstheoperationalrequirements.Itisthenreadyforpackingand
shipment.Whenyouhavecompletedallthetasks,allrelevantpartiesmustsignthereport
form.Thecompleteddocumentthenbecomestheofcialreport.
Note
Duetophysicalandfunctionalrestrictions,thistestoftheST90systemisdonewithoutthe
hullunitandthetransducer.ThehullunitandtheMotorControlUnitarereplacedwitha
hullunitsimulator .Thetransducerisreplacedwithadummyload.
Personnelandlocation
Successfulcompletionofthetestrequiresqualiedandexperiencedtestengineersand/or
technicians.
ThisFactoryAcceptanceTestisdoneattheKongsbergDiscoverypremisesinHorten,
Norway.PersonnelfromKongsbergDiscoverydothetest.Allpersonnelmusthaveagood
knowledgeoftheproductandrelevantmodule(s).BasicknowledgeofcomputerBIOS
(BasicInput/OutputSystem)andtheWindows®operatingsystems,electroniccircuitryand
deviceprogrammingisrequired
Representativesfromtheclientorend-usermaybepresenttowitnessthetestandresults.
Aswithallassemblyandtestproceduresrelatedtoadvancedtechnicaland/orelectronic
equipment,theskilloftheoperatorisvitaltoasuccessfulcompletionofthetasks.Theonly
waytosecurehighqualityofourproductsisrstrateworkmanshipandhighprofessional
standardsthroughouttheproductionchain.
Itisequallyimportantthatallmembersoftheproductionandtestcrewsshowinitiative,and
arewillingtosuggestimprovementstofunctionality,design,proceduresanddocuments.If
youndamistakeinadocument,orndthatinformationismissing,offerthisinformation
totheproperauthoritieswithoutfurtherdelay.Likewise,yourexperienceasaskilledworker
