Parameter 66 (BEND OSC) determines the amount of
pitch bend during left-right joystick movement. (See

To control tone brightness (VCF cutoff ·frequency) by
the joystick movement, parameter

value must be set to 1 (ON). (See

When the joystick is moved to the left, a "darker"
sound is produced. Moving it to the right gives a
brighter sound,
■ The joystick is also used to modulate the VCF and os-
cillators by MG. Moving
it
up
produces vibrato or trill
effects (cyclic change
of
the pitch), and moving it
down gives filter mod effects (cyclic change of
timbre).
