If the main burner flame on your Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace won't light, there are several things to check: * Ensure the ON/OFF rocker switch is in the ON position. * Verify the gas supply is turned on and check for multiple shut-offs in the supply line. * Consult with a plumber or gas supplier if the gas supply is low, and check/refill the propane tank if necessary. * Check for faulty or incorrect wiring. * Remove any blockage from the plugged main burner orifice. * Ensure the pilot flame is properly directed to ignite the burner. Refer to pilot flame troubleshooting. * Replace the batteries in the remote control. * Verify the remote control is powered ON and thermostat operation is turned OFF, ensuring there's a call for heat.

Why does the pilot light keep going out on my Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace?
    • K
      Karen MccormickAug 16, 2025
If the pilot light on your Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace won't stay lit, here's what to check: * Make sure there is propane in the tank and refill if necessary. * Low gas pressure can be the issue, so consult a plumber or gas supplier. This can be due to a bent line, too narrow diameter of pipe, or a low line pressure. * Verify the pilot flame envelopes the top of the flame sensor and extends far enough onto the burner for ignition. Adjust the pilot flame by turning the pilot adjustment screw on the gas valve clockwise to decrease the flame, and counterclockwise to increase it. * Ensure the pilot adjustment screw is sealed, but do not over-tighten.
