How to fix a pilot that will not light on my Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace?
    • M
      Monica CruzAug 19, 2025
To resolve a Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace pilot light that won't ignite, first, ensure that the appliance has electrical power or that the battery backup is working. Next, check all wiring connections using the wiring schematic in the manual to make sure they are secure and correct. Finally, verify that the gas supply is turned on by checking any remote shut-off valves near the main gas line, as there may be more than one valve.

What to do if main burner flame will not light on kozy heat SP-34-LE?
    • M
      Melissa JohnsonAug 21, 2025
If the main burner flame on your Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace won't light, begin by ensuring the ON/OFF rocker switch is in the ON position. Then, check the gas supply to confirm it is turned on and not low, consulting a plumber or gas supplier if needed, and checking/refilling the propane tank if applicable. Inspect the wiring for disconnections or improper connections. Clear any blockages from the main burner orifice. Finally, make sure the pilot flame is correctly directed to ignite the burner, referring to the pilot flame troubleshooting if necessary.

What to do if pilot light will not stay lit on Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace?
    • K
      Kylie CohenAug 23, 2025
If the pilot light on your Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace won't stay lit, start by checking the propane tank and refilling it if necessary. Next, consult a plumber or gas supplier to address potential low gas pressure issues, such as a bent line or narrow pipe. Ensure the pilot flame makes proper contact with the flame rectification sensor. Finally, seal the pilot adjustment screw, being careful not to over-tighten it.

Why do pilot and burner extinguish while in operation on my kozy heat SP-34-LE Indoor Fireplace?
    • J
      Jamie PetersonAug 26, 2025
If your Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace pilot and burner extinguish during operation, first, check and refill the propane tank if needed. Ensure correct installation of the glass assembly. Check and adjust the vent cap installation if necessary, and remove any vent cap blockages. Verify the horizontal venting has a ¼” (6mm) rise per foot (30cm). Check for exhaust vent pipe leaks and repair if needed. Finally, address excessive draft by installing or modifying a restrictor plate.

What to do if burner will not light on kozy heat SP-34-LE Indoor Fireplace?
    • H
      Hannah OliverAug 28, 2025
If the burner of your Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace won't light, first, make sure you've followed the lighting instructions: turn the gas control knob to the ON position, switch the ON/OFF rocker switch to ON, and set the wall switch, remote control, or thermostat to the heat demand position. Clear any blockages from the main burner orifice. If these steps don't work, check the remote, thermostat, or wall switch wires for proper connection and test the switch. If the burner lights with jumper wires, replace the defective switch, thermostat, or remote batteries. If the switching device checks out, use jumper wires across switches on the gas valve; if the burner then lights, the switching wires are faulty and should be replaced.

Why does soot appear on the glass of my kozy heat SP-34-LE Indoor Fireplace?
    • L
      Lori WrightAug 30, 2025
If soot appears on the glass of your Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace, make sure the logs are placed correctly. Also, the venturi air shutter may need to be opened slightly to allow more air into the gas mix. Check and adjust the vent cap installation if necessary. Finally, remove any debris blocking the vent cap.

Why flame burns blue and lifts off burner on my kozy heat SP-34-LE Indoor Fireplace?
    • S
      Stacy SheltonSep 1, 2025
If your Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace's flame burns blue and lifts off the burner, the venturi air shutter may need adjustment to allow more air into the gas mix. Also, check the vent cap installation to make sure it is correct. Inspect the vent system for blockages or leaks, and repair or clear as necessary.

What to do if pilot will not stay lit after carefully following lighting instructions on kozy heat SP-34-LE Indoor Fireplace?
    • T
      Tiffany PayneSep 4, 2025
If the pilot of your Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace will not stay lit even after carefully following the lighting instructions, start by cleaning the pilot hood. Then, ensure the thermocouple connection at the gas valve is fully inserted and tight (hand tight plus 1/4 turn). If the thermocouple reading is below 15 millivolts, disconnect it and test it with a millivolt meter while starting the pilot; replace the thermocouple if the reading remains low. Adjust the pilot flame to envelope the thermopile, if necessary. Check and tighten the thermopile connections to the gas control valve. Finally, measure millivolt production with a millivolt meter; if the reading is less than 350 millivolts, replace the thermopile.

What to do if burner will not stay lit on Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace?
    • K
      Kimberly RobertsonSep 6, 2025
If your Kozy Heat Indoor Fireplace burner won't stay lit, make sure the thermopile wires are tightened at the valve terminals. Check for and free any pinched thermopile wires. If installed, ensure the refractory panels are tight against the firebox walls, securing them with high-temperature sealant if necessary, especially around the intake duct.
