10.7Removing the fork legs x

Remove the front wheel. x ( p. 55)

– Remove screws  and take off clamp.
– Remove screws  and take off brake caliper.
– Hang the brake caliper and the brake line loosely to the side.

– Loosen screw . Remove the left fork leg.
– Loosen screw . Remove the right fork leg.

Warning
Danger of accidents Modifications to the suspension settings can seriously alter the vehicle's ride behavior.
– Following modifications, ride slowly at first to get the feel of the new ride behavior.

– Position the fork legs.
Info
The upper milled groove in the fork leg must be flush with the top edge of
the upper triple clamp.
Position bleeder screws  to the front.

– Tighten screws .
Guideline
Screw, top triple clamp M8 20 Nm
(14.8 lbf ft)
– Tighten screws .
Guideline
Screw, bottom triple clamp M8 15 Nm
(11.1 lbf ft)

– Position brake caliper, mount and tighten screws .
Guideline
Screw, brake caliper M8 20 Nm
(14.8 lbf ft)

– Position the brake line. Mount the clamp and screws .
