C Check the safety switches
1. Start and run the machine following all safety instructions in the operator's manuals.
2. Check the safety devices.
Check the following tests before operating the mower.
Sit on the operator's seat exclude Test 1.
If the machine does not pass one of the following tests, do not operate the machine.
Inspection item Results
Test 1 (OPERATOR NOT IN THE SEAT)
1. Apply the park brake.
2. Shift the PTO lever to "DISENGAGE" position.
3. Set the motion control lever to the "NEUTRAL LOCK" position.
4. Turn the key switch to "START" position.
5. The engine must not crank.
Test 2 (OPERATOR IN THE SEAT)
1. Do not apply the park brake.
2. Shift the PTO lever to "DISENGAGE" position.
3. Set the motion control lever to the "NEUTRAL LOCK" position.
4. Turn the key switch to "START" position.
5. The engine must not crank.
Test 3 (OPERATOR IN THE SEAT)
1. Apply the park brake.
2. Shift the PTO lever to "DISENGAGE" position.
3. Set the motion control lever inward from "NEUTRAL LOCK" position to "OPERATING".
4. Turn the key switch to "START" position.
5. The engine must not crank.
Test 4 (OPERATOR IN THE SEAT)
1. Apply the park brake.
2. Shift the PTO lever to "ENGAGE" position.
3. Set the motion control lever to the "NEUTRAL LOCK" position.
4. Turn the key switch to "START" position.
5. The engine must not crank.
Test 5 (OPERATOR IN THE SEAT)
1. Start the engine.
2. Keep the park brake applied.
3. Shift the PTO lever to "DISENGAGE" position.
4. Shift the motion control lever inward from "NEUTRAL LOCK" position to "OPERATING".
5. The engine must shut off.
A Only this test, it takes about 3 second to shut off the engine.
Test 6 (OPERATOR IN THE SEAT)
1. Start the engine.
2. Do not apply the park brake.
3. Shift the PTO lever to "DISENGAGE" position
4. Set the motion control lever inward from "NEUTRAL LOCK" position to "OPERATING".
5. Stand up. (Do not get off the machine.)
6. The engine must shut off.
Test 7 (OPERATOR IN THE SEAT)
1. Start the engine.
2. Do not apply the park brake.
3. Shift the PTO lever to "ENGAGE" position.
4. Stand up. (Do not get off the machine.)
5. The engine must shut off.
