3. Setting the machine to windrow
turning position
From the transport position:
- Stop the tractor engine and remove ignition key.
- Reinstall the link bar, (1) attaching it to the R position
on the primary pivot pins.
- Secure the link bar (1) with the flat washer and
retaining pin.
- Activate tractor hydraulics and lower the right
hand rake arm toward the raking position. Once
the arm has passed the upright position, switch
the tractor hydraulics into the float position to
allow the arm to finish lowering to the raking
position.
The machine is in windrow turning position.
Before placing the machine in windrow
turning position:
- Check that nobody is within the machine
pivoting area.
- If there is someone, make sure the person
moves away.
The tractor hydraulics must be set to "float"
mode during operation.
