WAVE Files
The K2500 can read 8 or 16 bit WAVE files, mono or stereo. WAVE files do not support looping.
The K2500 will save 16-bit WAVE files, either mono or stereo.
Standard MIDI Files (MIDI Type 0 and Type 1 Files)
The K2500 reads MIDI Type 1 files (multi-track) and can read or write MIDI Type 0 files (single
track). The K2500 supports all musical timestamp resolutions, and automatically scales
imported information to the K2500’s internal sequencer resolution of 768 ticks per beat, if
necessary.
Tempo information is supported, defaulting to 120 beats per minute if no tempo is specified.
If there is a time signature event in a file, the first one becomes the song’s time signature.
Otherwise, the time signature defaults to 4/4. Time signature changes are not supported.
Apart from tempo and time signature events, all other meta events, as well as System Exclusive
data, are skipped in order to preserve RAM.
