These instructions explain how to replace the skew motor or skew motor belt in a TracVision
M9 antenna.

Skew Motor Replacement Instructions

Step 1 - Remove the Radome

Disconnect power and remove the eight Phillips screws securing the radome.

Step 2 - Remove the Feed Tube and Reflector Bracket

Loosen feed tube screws, then remove six screws securing the reflector bracket.

Step 3 - Measure the Current Belt Tension

Use a tension meter to measure and record the current skew motor belt tension.

Step 4 - Replace the Motor

Disconnect motor cable, remove screws, slide motor hub to relieve tension, and extract motor.

Step 5 - Set the Belt Tension

Slide motor hub to achieve measured belt tension and tighten motor screws.

Step 6 - Reinstall the Reflector Bracket and Feed Tube

Align reflector bracket, secure it, reinstall feed tube, and tighten screws.

Skew Motor Belt Replacement Instructions

Step 1 - Remove the Radome

Disconnect power and remove the eight Phillips screws securing the radome.

Step 2 - Remove the Feed Tube and Reflector Bracket

Loosen feed tube screws, then remove six screws securing the reflector bracket.

Step 3 - Replace the Belt

Loosen motor screws, remove choke feed screw, slide hub to relieve tension, and extract belt.

Step 4 - Set the Belt Tension

Slide motor hub to achieve 400-500 Hz tension reading and tighten motor screws.

Step 5 - Reinstall the Reflector Bracket and Feed Tube

Secure reflector bracket, reinstall feed tube fully, and tighten screws.
