POTENTIAL HAZARD
Stalling, rolling backwards or improperly dismounting while
climbing a slope.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Could result in ATV overturning.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Maintain steady speed when climbing a slope.
If you lose all forward speed:
1. Keep weight up slope.
2. Apply the brakes.
3. Shift to the parking position “P” after you are stopped.
4. Lock parking brake.
If you begin rolling backwards:
Keep weight up slope.
2WD: Never apply the rear brake while rolling backwards.
Apply the front brake.
4WD: Apply both front and rear brakes gradually.
When fully stopped, shift to the parking position “P”.
When fully stopped, apply front brake as well, and then lock
parking brake.
Dismount on up slope side or to a side if pointed straight up
slope. Turn the ATV around and remount, following the
procedure described in the Owner's Manual.
