(2) Adjusting the skew of the laser scanner unit (reference)
Perform the following adjustment if the leading and trailing edges of the print image are laterally skewed (lateral
squareness not obtained).
Since this adjustment uses the test page that is output from the maintenance mode, prepare the compact flash card to
which the maintenance mode has been written and load the maintenance mode to the printer to carry out this adjustment
(See page 1-4-9).
Procedure
Refit the laser scanner unit and
turn the power switch on.

Is the image correct?
Press the MENU key.
Enter maintenance mode.
Press the ENTER key twice.
The test page is printed.
Turn the power switch off and carry out steps
1 to 6 of "(1) Detaching and refitting the laser
scanner unit" (see page 1-6-11).
* In case of print example 1
Loosen the screw in the direction of the
white arrow ( ).
Reduce the height of the LSU spacer in the
direction of the white arrow ( ).
* In case of print example 2
Tighten the screw in the direction of the
black arrow ( ).
Increase the height of the LSU spacer in
the direction of the black arrow ( ).
