2. Position the motor assembly in alignment with scribe marks made in
step A3.
3. Replace and tighten the holding nuts and washers.
4. Solder the motor wires to the motor terminals.

A. Set up range for squaring.
B. Adjust squaring.
1. Align the unit with either side of the X-axis facing the visible laser
source.
2. Level the unit in both axes and turn the unit on.
3. Locate the reflected beam on the target and record its location.
4. Rotate the laser 180 degrees and re-level.
5. Find the beam again and mark its location.
6. Determine the midpoint between the two previous points.
7. Raise or lower beam using adjustment points A and B (see fig. 9).
a. Bring the beam to the midpoint mark (with vials level).
8. Rotate the laser 180 degrees and relevel, then check adjustment.
a. Re-adjust as required.
9. Rotate laser 90 degrees, aiming the +S axis towards the target and re-
level.
Note: All readings must be within 1/4” of each
other at 4’.
10. Adjust point C (see fig. 9) to bring the beam to the midpoint location.
11. Re-check all readings and adjust as required.
12. Secure all three nuts and apply Loctite 290.
13. Install top cover.
